Artist Statement
Inspired by Rosalind Krauss's essay "Grids", which explains how the "modernist grid" hides a window to the "spiritual". The spiritual could also be interpreted as the unseen world.

Bonco (aka Paul Nathan) is a full time artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand. He predominantly paints with oil on linen but sometimes makes sculpture and textiles.
